How does the Annual Operating Plan work?

An Annual Operating Plan describes the annual activities of a part of an organization, f.inst. the board or the management group.

In the Annual Operating Plan it is possible to create a circle for each function – f. inst. the management group, the finance committee, etc.

In this way, the Annual Operating Plan will contain the most important activities of an organization and thereby give the stakeholders an overall view. However, the remaining part of the organization could also benefit from knowing the various operating plans – which they can, if you share it.

Creating an Annual Operation Plan

At the same time the Annual Operating Plan will tell you, when and how some activities will interact making it possible to exploit the synergies in an organization. Several companies are asking for experience groups across-the-board in the organization.

To know each other’s annual business circle is a simple way to get experience and to get inspired.

Therefore, we recommend creating an Annual Operation Plan for those areas with a cyclic activity, in order to secure a context with other activities of the organization.
