Say goodbye to static plans in Word and Excel

The circular planner is a popular tool for creating an overview and with good reason! The visual overview provides a way better impression of the organisational rhythm than the traditional calendar. This is also why many programs offer templates for the circular calendar.

It is, however, not without significance which program you use to make the circular calendar, as flexibility is the key to get the most out of the planning. The future can’t be predicted, so it should be easy to adjust the plan along the way. If you make your annual plan in Plandisc there is plenty of room for cooperation and adjustments. The adjustments made in a plandisc will automatically be visible to all users of the particular disc.

Get an overview of both busy periods and attached Word files

The circular overview is practical and makes it easier to detect double bookings and if there is an erratic workload. At the same time you can wish to look further into the plans on a specific day or month. In Plandisc you can hover your mouse over a month and click “Show agenda”. A list of the plans during that month will then appear on the right side of the screen and you can quickly get an overview of the activities that day and also see if there are important documents or links  attached.

Another function that allows you to look further into certain activities in a plandisc, is the label function. Many of Plandisc’ customers like adding one or more labels to an activity and based on these labels, filter the view. By doing so, you can just show the activities that are relevant here and now.

Get access to your plandiscs via Microsoft Teams

One of the big advantages of using Plandisc is that it works with many other programs that may come in handy during the work day. Many workplaces handle the in-house communication in Microsoft Teams and here you can embed your plandisc in a chat or a group. You can also download the Plandisc app in Teams, to get full access to both your own plandiscs and to the ones that are shared with you, just like when you access Plandisc through your browser. It is in other words easy to use Plandisc while still enjoying the benefits from for example Teams. To develop an annual plan in a program developed specifically for this purpose, comes with many advantages that an annual plan made in Word or Excel doesn’t quite match. If you are curious about how you can use plandisc, we recommend taking a look at some of our templates, where you can see how you can build and use the annual plan.
