AARHUS, Denmark, September 1, 2026 — Morten Olesen has been appointed Managing Director at Plandisc. He will lead the company toward administration-free planning: customers should get the value of annual planning before having to learn a new system.
He moves into the role from Head of Sales at Plandisc, and before that, Head of Growth, where he spent the past few years building the sales team and growing revenue. Plandisc is used today by +80.000 users across the Nordics.
The leadership change comes as new players have entered the market, and easy vibe-coded, copycat products have started to appear. Plandisc is part of Visma and follows the group’s high security and data processing requirements.
“Our security level is at the highest standard. But we combine that with a deep understanding of our +80,000 users across the Nordics, and the processes behind good planning and how planning works inside a complex organization,” says Morten Olesen, MD, Plandisc.
AI is already part of Plandisc, where it is used to build annual plans. The next step is a chat and help function within the annual wheel itself. “We need to build on Plandisc’s already strong foundation and increase the value for our customers through AI. So we need to make Plandisc better for the people who’ve already bought into the product,” says Morten.
Under the new leadership, growth is to come from sparring with the customers, which also means sharing more of what the company knows about planning processes directly with them.
“We don’t just want to provide a piece of software. We want to provide expertise,” Morten says, and continues: “This isn’t about technology for technology’s sake. It's about giving our customers one shared overview, and one source of truth, so fewer decisions get lost between departments, and fewer plans fall apart the week before a deadline,” Morten Olesen concludes.
